This beach is one of the quiet and beautiful beach of South Goa. This beach is located near Fatrade and Varca Beaches in the north and Cavelossim Beach in the south.

Carmona Beach has a wide beach strip covered with fine and smooth sand of a very light colour, warm sea waters, quiet and calm places for having a relaxing rest.

Tourists can do sports and various activities or simply relax under the tender sun lying on the beach. Shacks and nearby Restaurants offer amazingly tasty dishes (mostly made of fresh seafood) from International and traditional Goa cuisine

Located in Mangum taluka of Goa this falls attracts a lot of tourists throughout the year and falls under the Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary. the most convenient option to reach there is through road or rail. Kulem railway station is the nearest railway station to the falls from where you can trek or hire a jeep to reach there.

Famous for water sports, beach shacks, nightlife opportunities with silent noise parties. Known for its crescent shape and with a beautiful view of western ghats surrounding this beach.

This Beach is a perfect spot for picnic and one can enjoy the scenic beauty and ambiance.

Here there is no facility for water sports and beach shacks.

These petroglyphs (rock art) are approximately 20,000 to 30,000 years old and belong to the Upper Paleolithic or Mesolithic eras. More than 100 distinct figures, spread an area of 500 sq m., including images of bulls, labyrinths and human figures are carved on laterite stones.

The site was discovered by archaeologists working in the area in 1993, when local villagers took them to the bend in west-flowing river Kushavati outside the village, with mysterious engravings on the laterite shelf.

Some of the finds are displayed in the Panaji Archaeological Museum.

The Naval Aviation Museum is worth going miles to see for it’s a source of knowledge and inspiration to youngsters to instill in them the love to join the defense forces.

It is best to plan the visit to the Museum in such a manner so as to wind it up with a picnic at the scenic picnic spot at ‘Hollant Beach’ just about 2 Kms from this point.

It is a sacred Tank of Bubbles attached to the Gopinath Temple and appears to be green and very clean. Here one can see continuous Bubbles rising up to the surface at different spots.

The Bubbles are known to strangely increase in intensity if one claps loudly. There are various legends regarding the origin of these Bubbles and according to some it is a miracle of the Local Deity. However, according to scientists, the Bubbles can be caused by sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide, limestone or methane.

This beach is a beautiful spot for Picnics and relaxation. The waters here have an immaculate greenish blue colour. Groves of palm trees line up the seashore.

The beach is fairly isolated owing to its distance from major towns and cities and is not particularly crowded. Behind the beach is a steep rock face having rocky flat top. On the left side of the beach, into the sea is a rock with a single tree atop it.

This rock can be reached during low tide only. There are no shacks or restaurants at this beach.

This beach is near Cabo de Rama Fort, from the fort, one can see the Cabo de Rama beach and the Arabian Sea. The view from the ramparts of the fort is truly splendid!

The promontory was crowned by a fort centuries before the Portuguese cruised in and wrested it from the local Hindu rulers in 1763.

Its closest neighboring beach is Galgibaga. Talpona beach coastline strip is wide, around 1 Km. long.

Beach’s coastline is covered with pure sand of a golden colour and is framed from shore-side with rare palm and pine trees groves.

The Arabian Sea is much more quiet and calm in this part of the beach; the water here is clean, very warm and crystal-clear.

As not many Tourists visits this beach, hence this is a beautiful beach for relaxation and peaceful atmosphere.

The peculiarity of this amazing natural phenomenon is that it is not visible from a distance. This Waterfall produces an unforgettable expression onto everyone who has ever seen this fantastical phenomenon.

The Waterfall is surrounded by rich and very beautiful flora and fauna. This place is one of the most favorite places for those who are fond of travelling, adventures and hiking. The best period for visiting is during Monsoon; the vegetation in this period retrieves the succulent rich color and looks very fresh. During summer the waterfall dries up.

This beach is quieter and cleaner as compared to the other renowned beaches in Goa. The palm-thatched longhouses dot the sandy Varca beach. There is also a small park on this beach for kids.

Tourists usually visit this beach for relaxing and sunbathing. During Season Tourists can have Dolphin watching and boat trips.

These two beaches are surrounded by lush wild vegetation, covered with golden sand and washed by warm waters of the Arabian Sea.

Canaguinim Beaches are very suitable for those who like to spend their holidays in peace. Although there are no facilities for tourists on the beach.

But still, more and more tourists from nearby resorts are coming here to spend a day on a picturesque beautiful beach and to visit interesting constructions of Portuguese period in Canaguinim village.

The Temple was built of black basalt with slab roof design over the main hall and a typical Dravidian style Shikara and carved ceiling.

There is a linga (symbol of Lord Shiva) mounted on a pedestal inside the inner sanctum, and local legend has it that a huge king cobra is in permanent residence in the dimly lit interior.

On route to Temple you can view waterfalls and a glimpse of wildlife sanctuary.

Sun bathing, Dolphin trips and sunset cruises are among the other attractions at this Beach. Also Famous for its black rocks and white sand.

The temple is believed to have been constructed during the Middle of the 16th century by ancestors of the Kshatriya Samaj. It was renovated in the year 1778. The temple is dedicated to Shri Mallikarjun who is yet another incarnation of Lord Shiva.

According to legend, the location of the temple is supposed to be the place where Lord Shiva met his consort Parvati after a long separation.

This Beach only for those who love quiet Beach with less crowd and want to enjoy and relax peacefully.

Important Note: If you plan a visit to this place, please remember to make visitor pass from Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department, Junta House situated in state capital, Panaji. The guards at dam will not allow entry without visitor pass.

Fresh and dense palm vegetation at this beach enhances some specific atmosphere of elegance and refinement. At this beach sea coastline is quite long and the sand is very soft; of golden light colour.

This beach is also an ideal place for swimming; here weaves are calm and are not too high.

There are few small beach restaurants where tourists can enjoy amazingly tasty dishes of local and international cuisines under the palm trees shadows.

She is flanked by Vishnu and Shiva on both the sides. The temples of Shree Shantadurga and Shree Mangesh, two of the most revered patron deities of the Hindu Goud Saraswat Brahmin community are located in Queula and Mangeshi respectively in the Ponda district of South Goa.

This avatar of Shree Jagdamba Devi which had come to make peace [Shanti] between Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, came to be known as Shree Shantadurga Devi.

It is situated in a small bay with around a mile of curving sandy Beach. This is one of the neat and the clean Beach, here you will have a lot of empty space; which you won’t find at North Goa Beaches.

Unless you stay for at least a couple of days, it is unlikely that you will catch a glimpse of many of the animals that are sheltered in the sanctuary, including Gaur, Sambar, Leopards, Spotted Deer, Slender Loris, Jungle Cats, Malayan Giant Squirrels, Pythons and Cobras.
